Automated copy of my Letterboxd review for The Lair of the White Worm (1988)

Incredible. So much hilarious innuendo, explicit horniness, kink, pagan blasphemy, and so many snakes. There were very few points where I could anticipate what was coming next. Loved it.

Amanda Donohoe was excellent and gorgeous, but I was captivated by Hugh Grant's and Peter Capaldi's amazing hair. I was not familiar with young Peter Capaldi's game in general, I may need to look for his other early work, purely for research purposes. Also will be looking at the rest of Ken Russell's catalogue -- pretty sure I've watched some, particularly Altered States, but a good prompt to (re)visit.

My lingering question from this film is: where did the mongoose come from?
