Ubuntu journaled disk quotas
If you install quota support on current versions of Ubuntu, modify your fstab to add usrquota and/or grpquota options, and run quotacheck, you will get a message like this:
quotacheck: Your kernel probably supports journaled quota but you are not using it. Consider switching to journaled quota to avoid running quotacheck after an unclean shutdown.
